Exordium, the latest from The Grand Sarachis, screened at the 48 Hour Film Project's "Best of Screening" to a packed house at the Bloor Cinema. The ambitious sci-fi short took home a slew of prizes - Best Editing, Best Sound Design, Best Graphics, Best Visual Effects, Best Best Actor (Paul Popowich) and earned 2nd Place overall. Congrats to the whole Sarachi team!

After an exhilarating weekend, Gillian wrapped filming with The Grand Sarachis for the 48 Hour Film Project in Toronto. An incredible experience working with mastermind director/editor Jon Laakso (Disconnect), lead actor Paul Popowich (Hemlock Grove, Cracked) and the entire Sarachi team.

Gillian joins the Grand Sarachis in Hollywood for their US premiere of Disconnect at Filmapalooza! The short film won the 48 Hour Film Competition in Toronto, winning Best Sound and Audience Favorite awards. Gillian is part of their documentary film project This is 48.

Gillian and the cast and crew of Call Me Fitz attended the the 26th Gemini Awards in Toronto. Call Me Fitz scored 6, the largest number of Geminis that night, including Best Direction in a Comedy for Scott Smith, Best Writing in a Comedy for Pat Bullard and awards for supporting cast members Ernie Grunwald and Rachel Blanchard. Call Me Fitz picture and sound editors Kim McTaggart and Fred Brennan also brought home awards.

Season 1 of "Call Me Fitz" has been nominated for 16 Gemini Awards! Gillian has been nominated alongside her Fitz castmates for "Best Ensemble Performance in a Comedy Program or Series". The awards will be given out August 30 and August 31, with the Gala event to be broadcast on CBC on September 7th at 8pm EST.

Call Me Fitz will air on HBO Canada September 19, 2010 at 8pm EST, with 2 back to back episodes! Although it has yet to air, HBO Canada has ordered 13 more episodes, and the first season has already been sold to networks worldwide. Stay tuned!

Gillian just returned home after two amazing weeks in Banff, Alberta! A member of the Acting Ensemble of the Women in the Director's Chair program, Gillian worked with eight talented directors along with a dedicated cast and crew, bringing eight new scripts to the screen. In the final work, Gillian worked with director Annette Mangaard and actor Anne Marie DeLuise in Alberta Beauty, and director Geraldine Carr and actor Joe Costa in Ballads in Passing.
